St Joseph's and St Gregory's Primary School & Pre-School

E-safety is an important part of keeping children safe at St Joseph's and St Gregory's

We have security measures in place at school to safeguard our pupils from potential dangers and unsuitable materials, and e-safety is taught to pupils as part of the curriculum.

We can only be successful in keeping children safe online if we work with https://www.internetmatters.org/parents to ensure the safety message is consistent. It is important that parents talk to their children about how they keep safe and behave appropriately whilst they are online.

Internet Matters is a new online portal designed for parents to access simple, easy and practical advice about online safety for their children, right through from pre-school to teens. It provides tips on protecting children from online grooming, cyberbullying, privacy and identity theft and inappropriate content. Internet Matters is a not-for profit organisation set up by BT, Sky, TalkTalk and Virgin Media.

The NSPCC delivered an online workshop session for parents. Please click on the logo above for further advice and guidance on how to keep your children safe online.

Think U Know have created some helpful short videos for parents and carers: delivering online safety at home.
